1. Make Sure To Choose The Right Buffing Pad

First things first, you’ll want to make sure that you have the right buffing pad for your particular needs. The Venco Clear X kit comes with both a red buffing pad and a white buffing pad.

The white pad is designed for smaller stains and scratches, and it has a more fine design that makes it better for such applications.

However, the red pad is much more robust and durable, with a larger grain that makes it better for buffing away significant stains and scratches. Make sure you choose the right pad for your window, to get the best results.

2. Consider Using A Power Buffer For Larger Windows

If you have your own power buffer and buffing pads, you can feel free to use them to apply Venco Clear X. We recommend using a light-to-medium buffing pad.

You should make sure that your chosen buffing pad is brand-new. You don’t want to use a pad that has been used to buff fiberglass or any other material, as this could cause scratches and damage to your glass.

Apply the compound to the pad, and apply the pad to wet glass in a consistent, circular motion, avoiding prolonged contact with any particular area of the glass surface.
